You're actually paying for an 'up-to'-4Mbps, uncapped (shaped) account. It turns out that knowing the implications of this, actually nullifies the rest of your post... but I can't resist breaking that down so you know exactly what I mean -im paying for a 4mb adsl account
Since when did you think you were on an unshaped, uncontended service? Quite an assumption given the fee you're paying for an uncapped service in a country like this. See above - You get what you pay for.i dont want to sit and watch a game update 1gb at 40KB/s while a few other isp accounts on my line are patching at near line speeds...
There's no need to do tracerts and stuff if you know you're probably not going to be maxing your line capacity with an Mweb Uncapped 4Mbps shaped service? Furthermore, how does the money you pay to Telkom for your 4Mbps line have any bearing on Mweb's service to you? Again, See above.if someone is paying more than R1k for internet a month, (line rent everything) then they shouldnt need to sit and do troubleshooting, ping and tracerts and tcppings etc themselves....
There is no issue if you're getting the very service you expected when signing up. Did you read the Terms and conditions? There's nothing to fix, nor anything to refund, if you're getting the service you agreed to pay for. If you aren't happy with the service, fair enough: complain about it, but not in this way. Alternatively, take your money elsewhere and try another ISP?Do i forward the bill for having to buy a prepaid account yet again to [email protected]? or can we work together and fix this issue?
Then what are you ranting about? Why are you wasting the Mweb rep's time on this forum? If anything they ought to bill you for their time in having to respond to this generic complaint of which surely every mweb uncapped customer should be aware about by now?yes i know its shape, yes i know its dynamic bla bla bla, so please no copy and paste replies...
Hi MWG, I'm having extreme problems with youtube.... It seems to load the first few seconds of a clip, and then just sit for ages before buffering 1 movie second, every 15-20 seconds. I've tried this with clips I've already watched and know streamed properly.
Can you help me out?
Hi PhreeMe,
I have changed a setting on your account, changing the access from 'protected' to 'normal'. This can be changed back again. Please test and keep me informed.

MWEB Guy
How does opening restricted incoming ports improve YouTube performance?

Hey fragtion.
How about when a person signed up for a service, continued to pay for it and it was on a great level for a year, then they change stuff and for the past few months it has been much worse?
Also second question, how long have you been working or have stakes in Mweb?
One more comment: Get out of this thread if you have nothing to say with regards to feedback on the product, this is what this thread is for. All you are doing is quoting people who are having issues and you probably feel real smart, shame I guess its a bit pathetic but okay.
To sum up: STFU kid.
Anyone else having speed issues?
Hi copacetic,
Are you still experiencing speeds issues? Is it with downloads, normal browsing, local or international?

Over the past few days my newgroup speeds have been terrible. Am I missing something?
