Not really sure how to conduct a ping test on 2 machines running on separate networks but I assume ping 41.135.xx.xx would do it. That returns a "request timed out" message...

Hi sandman,

In order to do a ping test between the 2 machines, you will have to ping the other machines IP. Please provide me the results thereof.

Regards,
MWEB Guy

couldnt find anything about cancellations etc.....cant we just give it a trial for a month?

Afternoon dudleygb, please inbox me your contact details; I will then ensure that a consultant calls you to provide you more information regarding your options.

Mweb guy, massive timeouts again just now. Game also disconnects now. Any updates from your network team yet? I will keep asking and pressing for an answer about this and wont just forget about it in a week or so.

Hi Sillicur,

I have sent a follow up request to our network team and await their response.

Kind regards,

I have the same problem here, I had to swap to my backup webafrica account, although I must just say that this is 2nd time this year I have to do this, so I cant really complain, otherwise Im a happy MWEB customer.

I had the same problem about 30min ago. Insanely slow speeds and then all of a sudden dropped. Account connected but no traffic would run.

Turned modem off for about 10min... powered back up and started working again. DL speeds are still shyte but I guess thats just the shaping at work

Anyone else having problems connecting to Steam?

Hi tardomatic,

What type of Steam connectivity issues are you experiencing? Is there any error page you receive?

Kind regards,

MWEB Guy

No error page... Just sits at Connecting steam account. I can see it trying to access steam.wa.co.za and various other IP's, but it never gets past that

Nope fine here, but I did get shogun2 can't sync yesterday for a sec and it went away. To which steam server do you connect? Mines currently on "South Africa - Johannesburg"

wipe the blob and see if it happens again:
close steam completely
go to steam dir
delete clientregistry.blob
restart steam

Hi tardomatic,

Have you tried, what Pr⊕phet suggested?

Hi Sillicur,

Our network team could not replicate the timeouts you getting.

Kind regards,

insanely slow speed again today...on 1 meg uncapped account but cant even stream 240p on youtube :(

Deleted the blob, steam has now been updating for 40 minutes and is currently 68% complete. According to Windows resource manager, stuff is coming down at 45Kbps. (or 4.5KB/s)

Jitte the Mweb network is seriously messed up since this week-end.

I can't even download from battle.net, or rather, it is going to take over 25 hours to download a game I just bought.
:(

I'm not happy, not happy at all!
