I agree my 2TB gave up on me as well .. sigh... But at this rate I'll have everything back in no time :)
 
It is a problem with the hard drives, i have a few machines backing each other up lol... so if a drive goes i have a back up....

can only get one VERY slow nntp connection

Anybody else disconnecting every 5 - 10 mins on the Battlefield 3 servers?

Edit: This is getting ridiculous now, cannot even play 2 minutes without disconnecting.

Edit Edit: between 20 and 30% packet loss, already phoned telkom who said nothing is wrong with my line.

anything wrong with the mweb news server the ip address it is giving me is 168.209.98.66 and not 196.28.78.229. My nntp is not connecting at all. Please assist urgently

Somehow I don't think this is a news server issue per se, looks like shaping gone wild. Basically shaping all over has increased this week, some protocols are being shaped so badly that they time out. ftp/http for one is VERY unstable, it has taken me close to 2 hours to download 50MB at one point and I can only hope nothing got currupted with all the 0KBps periods.

I would think that shaping would increase this week, as all the american tv shows have started again and the demand for bandwidth would go up..
 
any one else have very slow browse / dload speeds - trying to get BF3 from ftp but my 1meg line struggles to get 20kbs stable dload speed...

We are not currently experiencing any issues on our side. When did you first notice this ?

since last night when I was trying yo dload BF3 beta from a ftp server...

just did a speedtest using MWEB Server in Jhb and got: 0.10Mbps dload speed and 0.38Mbps upload speed - please help MWEB Guy
