MWEB Guy seems like everything is fine now after I spoke to Telkom - they re-sync my line seems to have solved my problem - thank you

Hey MWEB Guy - I'm having pretty terrible speeds today - downloading a normal HTTP file from any non-p2p site maxes out at 40KB/s, browsing is slow, etc.

I'm on a 4MB uncapped shaped account, my exchange is 011 706. I've sent you my account details via private message. I just got off the phone with technical support. They tested my line and reset my account but it's still very slow. Anything you can do to help?

Hi Donovan,

With regards to slow browsing, please can you provide me ping and traceroute results as this will assist with further investigation. Your line readings are fine and there are no reported issues in your area as well.

Last Result:
Download Speed: 111 kbps (13.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 52 kbps (6.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 1002 ms
Jitter: 264 ms
Packet Loss: 0%

This is from the Mweb speed test to London.

Getting really sick of this.

13.9kb like it states in the speed test. Or do you want me to look at the speed on say Flashget? Keep getting white screens and time outs with browsing as well.

Didn't bother any more last night. This morning download speed seems to be semi back to normal. But browsing is still timing out a lot. This has always been the case with me and Mweb, but it's getting worse by the day. Is it because there are too many people using Mweb now and too many people are online at night, so I can barely use the internet?

You pretty much ignored his questions. If i had a "slight" improvement to a product i would rage, he's paying for something yet not receiving it. I'd be curious what the CPA states about ADSL accounts.
 
Lol look at all this info gimaru is giving Mweb Guy. Mweb Guy is still as useless as ever thou and will do nothing to fix it. Look at his responses even while getting all this info.

Hopefully he wont just ignore it and a week later when it gets reported again he will ask for the same info again saying you never gave it. Mweb Guy's tactic is making people give up.

mweb guy can you have a look at my account and line, my wow is sluggish, ping to bbc.co.uk is fine, though speedtest is 330ms to london mweb , thanx.
