Well, changed to another service provider, and teh grass sure ain't greener on the other side. :D
imho it's largely dependant on how many monkeys is in your tree at your location. Suppose I'm about the only fool on the exchange with adsl as I don't have any congestion issues and so far it's been really good month with mweb as with previous ones except of course seacom outages. I'll take good bet that telkom uncap is going to futher fuber the congestion as they went with copper initially instead of going early with fiber. At least with mweb I don't have to reset my router all the time or change backbones when the account gets used too much...

Hi Pr⊕phet,

Well said, however please try and not use the word Monkeys ;-)

What about the other tree animals! In the time when you change your Backbone how do you sit up?

Hi copacetic,

Did you at least advise them on how to install an irrigation system?:)

That's their job, not mine. :p

Seriously though, my foray into the world of other ISP's has made me realize that MWEB are doing a pretty good job of things.

Should I ever be able to afford a 1 meg line from you guys, I'll be back probably.

Mweb have you'll been filling your irrigation system power smoothies for the past few weeks haven't been finding anything to complain about here.

Totally agree, I was on the Is uncapped before and the throttling was just too much. I think I'm in a very good location in terms of downloads, always hitting full speed on my 1meg uncapped apart from the shaping during weekdays. So I assume most of these complains can be attributed to the overloaded exchanges.

No, it's MWEB. They are just a very slow ISP. I have proved this, time and time again, simply by switching between ISPs. I demonstrated it to MWEB tech support. The guy then explained how their products work. You can phone them and ask.

I'm assuming there is maintenance again or something? Or is it just the norm? Because I'm about to smash and kick my screen around on the floor from this pathetic slow browsing.

White screen after white screen, up to 6 minutes loading time for a website. Wtf?

Uncapped 384kb. Please don't phone me either, because now is not a good time.

Something really wrong with MWEB tonight. Websites loading slow, normal http downloads topping out at 30KBps. Youtube almost dead.

Just switched over to my SAIX account, speeds literally 10 fold of my MWEB account. Something really wrong here.
