Nix's traceroute uses UDP packets by default on high numbered random ports. These usually are blocked by default on most firewalls, where ICMP will be opened for monitoring.My internet is also down to a crawl this morning. Speedtest shows a ping of over 1000ms to a local (<30miles) serverIn the Welgemoed, Bellville area

My browsing is stuffed, my web pages don't even open... it sucks... MWEB Guy can you help please
and the funny thing is its on local and international sites.
Dear MWEB;
Is there any reason you don't publish the IMAP details on the website, only the POP details are there?
My speed has gone down the toilet. News server between 1kb and 4 kb/s. Sites take forever to load. Anyone else with a problem?
I'm holding out for Telkom to just upgrade all 384kbps "broadband" users free of charge ...![]()
Hi Ronjay,
I had a look at your line readings and it does look irregular. I would advise contacting Telkom and ask them to re-create your port. Please test thereafter.
Regards,
MWEB Guy
