Earth,
For my own piece of mind are you getting decent speeds during office hours?

Yes or no ?

Mine is a trickle at 2 Kb then shoots up to34 kb around 21:00 at night.

I'm talking P2P mainly here.

It wasn't like that when I first started with them.

We pay way more for the unshaped.

From the mweb website ADSL: Uncapped, unshaped

1. Unshaped ADSL bandwidth – optimal internet access with all your internet activity
2. Ideal for gaming, VOIP applications and large downloads
3. Experience better uploads and downloads than the normal (Shaped) ADSL service
4. No delay in traffic downloads, perfect for online trading and peer to peer applications
Pay a fixed monthly price
Use as much data as you like (Subject to Acceptable Use Policy)

Might as well just not pay the extra as it serves no purpose then.

That's pretty ridiculous, if you're paying for unshaped even P2P should be full speed or as close as it can get at any time.

Then move isp? No point on constant complaints and hope it fixes things.

Unshaped means unshaped, if your speed is below full speed at any time then Mweb have it wrong

@Will, please advise if the unshaped accounts are also shaped, if any at all!

Hi Cosmic_Nomad,

I have escalated your query to our techspec team; they will be calling you regarding your problem during the course of tomorrow. Thereafter they will liaise with our network team and hopefully resolve your problem.

Kind regards, MWEB Guy

I use a 4 Mb uncapped unshaped MWEB line at work.
I get 380+KB/s constantly for P2P traffic (bit torrents)
