Ill confirm with the insurance tomorrow and then decide what to do. Will contact the dealership I bought it from as well
 
I thought it happened at work? I'd be talking to them too...
 
I had rats eat my wires in my versys but luckily it was just one sheath
And could be spliced back together. Rats can eat through just about anything except glass metal and cement but they ll try to eat it
How did they get in? They snuck under the cover and if you are storing a bike
You won't find the damage until you try to start it
On the BMW GT I needed a new harness to supplement old harness because well I have no exact idea why but
That was 3000 odd Rand
Honda seems a bit steep but then you only see visible damage they could have had a right Roman glutton fest and the wiring looks like shredded wheat where the eye can't see

First few days of vaguely warm weather and all the retard bikers are back on the road it seems :mad:

  1. Lane splitting with another bike ahead of you? Better make sure your front wheel can touch the back wheel of the bike ahead
  2. No space to lane split and there are oncoming cars as well? No problem, just ride in the oncoming lane and hope the cars make space for you
  3. Not a very good rider and can't lane split when the cars are less than 2m apart? Just use the yellow lane and cruise on through, or refer to point 2) again
  4. While lane splitting always maintain an inverse relationship with the speed of cars around you, the slower they go the faster you must go
  5. Indicators? What are those again? Oh those blinky lights that only worked for the first week on your scooter (or have fallen off), ya those are not required
  6. And always remember ATGATT - plakkies, shorts, and your trusty 10 year old helmet
 
7. Riding with your hazards on so people have even less clue what you are doing.

Nothing wrong with that if you are maintaining an unwavering straight lane split down a parking lot freeway, the hazards provide additional visibility of oncoming bike to vehicles up ahead and they will usually tuck in to create more space or have second thoughts of dashing to another lane in front of you.
But lane splitting all over the show with hazard on is stupid

Yeah I’m talking about the latter who puts their hazards on the moment they hit the road and only turn them off when they get home or possibly even never.

I find them highly distracting and can’t say it really adds visibility, rather just confusion.

Extreme weather being a different story where I’ll also make use of hazards for a lack of fog lights and such on bikes.

8. Make sure to run your aftermarket LED spotlights 24/7, even though their light output rivals that of the sun. Bonus points if you have 2 pairs of lights

Well I do hope they sort you out.

It’s a very interesting claim being mechanical failure and not an accident but still not based on fatigue or wear and tear.

My broker is of the opinion it would be covered by accidental damage by my policy.
