You can get a transition pinlock insert as well. That would be quite lekker.

R3.50? I'll offer you R3.15 for it and pay shipping ;)

I quite like the look of the Airoh Storm in Sprinter Black @ R2499. It also has a sun visor built in, but I cannot find any reviews of them and also whether I would be able to find them locally. Fit is an important aspect and I'd rather try it on for a few minutes in store to see if I like the fit and all that. @Fanie you don't perhaps know the exact model of yours? I like the idea of the cutouts for headphones too

An extra grand just for the sunvisor. That doesn't sit all too well with me :(

True.... until you need it in the early morning. Then you're like "Thank FSCK I got the visor for R1k extra" :p

There were times when I used to commute to school on the KLR that I was very grateful for the peak of the Vega helmet I had at the time. But brave me and not having a lot of pocket money decided to not save for a fullface helmet and braved the PE winters with no goggles.

I promptly upgraded to the fullface not long after :p

I tend to stop and put my left foot out, since I use both front and back brakes to come to a complete stop, it's just how I learnt when I started riding that I use both brakes for Maximum braking capacity.

When I come to a complete stop I'll keep in first gear until the car behind me has also come to a complete stop Then I'll put it into neutral and shift the weight to my right leg since it's the dominant leg.

Then do this little Shuffle where I put it into first gear then shift weight to my left leg and use the right to hold the rear brake ready for pullaway. I do this even when not on a slope just a habbit.

I love the auto box. Left foot down, right foot on the brake. Every time, no variation, no shuffle :D

Autos are convenient. But I prefer manual on a bike. Must say tho, up and down quickshifter is fun. I keep on trying to find the right revs to make it burp each time (auto blips on down shift)

Dammit... Now I miss my bike again... And I'm in a different province this time.

I know auto bikes have been popular for a while but I just feel like I wouldn't be able to get used to it. I am a bit set in my ways I suppose :p

On a different note: had a skrik on Saturday. Went to take cover off bike, undo clips, start peeling back, farking neighbour's cat was chilling on the seat under the cover. Jumped out as I got to it.

Dunno how it got under there.

Jesus dude I thought you meant an actual heart attack there for a moment.

Undercover bike lover....?

It's a lot more than just a sun visor.

The entire shell needs to be designed to accommodate it.

Now here's what confuses me, straight from full throttle's website:

Shark S700 Lite (No internal Sun Visor Included)

Features:

  • Ergonomic sun-visor control system

This makes me think the helmet can accommodate it but it isn't included, perhaps because you are able to purchase it after the fact? Or am i misunderstanding this a bit?

That's the way I read it too.

But these seem like horribly old stock as the S700 isn't even listed on Shark website any more.

That's exactly right. The S700 is designed to use the sun visor same as the S900, but it doesn't have the actual sun visor pre-instslled. The mechanism is there.
