hahaha, i can be a plank sometimes on rare occasions. but it only takes 1 incident.

I Think my message was ambiguous, i meant that the superduke might be too much for me, not the mt09. i think the mt09 would be perfect for me. so yes Mt07 definitely not enough power. Though i think running costs (insurance/services etc) would be took much for me financially.
Yeah apparently that 15k (or 30k can't remember) service on the lc8 engine is about R9k. Lucky my 1050 has a 4 year/ 40000km service plan. But probably going to sell the bike soon anyhow... I can get my mind off a dirt bike and I cannot have both...

I get you ;)

The SuperDuke must be a total beast. I've ridden a few bikes in my life and few stand out as much as the Buell XB12 Firebolt that I took for a spin one afternoon.

Gobs upon gobs of torque in a very nimble yet heavy chassis made for a very interesting ride :D

More recently I've driven a CBR600RR that made my 1.75m frame feel cramped and a GSX-R750 that fitted me a little better. But coming from a KLR it feels very strange to swing my legs upwards to get them on the pegs as they usually are straight down on the Kawa.

/ponders how well a Buell motor would fit into a KLR frame

The Firebolt was once rated one of the best cornering bikes in the world.

As for the engine in a KLR...highly unlikely as it needs to hang from the frame.

Rather build an off-road Buell.

Ah that makes more sense.

SuperDuke - 177hp and 195kg dry - pretty mental :D
But a beautiful machine

Decided I'll use the bike today to work, from the Vaal. If it rains I'll rather get wet than get stuck in peak Sandton rain traffic trying to get back to the Vaal.

I think today is the day I lose my patience with Honda Centurion....

So Honda dealerships:

Avoid:
Honda Centurion
Honda Sandton
Honda Rivonia (no bikes)

Go to:
Honda Weltevredenpark

...enough to make one rather buy a Suzuki next time

Lol WTF dude. That's a load of balls. Is this being covered by insurance?

Eish. If you were paying I'd suggest just voting with your wallet, but if insurance is covering....well, can't you get them to put pressure?
