Header + Power Commander is always going to get you more total outputs but at a much higher cost per kilowatt ultimately.
Especially if you work potential earlier failure into that equation.
But in fairness your class of bike is already blood from a stone kind of setup so there really isn’t that much to gain, at least not legally with all the treehugger ***.
The smaller engines tend to get a lot more out per rand spent as a percentage of improvement due to having to have cut costs in the first place.
There’s also something to be said for driveability before and after mods. But this can be positive and negative.
My Buell was much better for it after the fact. Lower down torque improvement, smoother full through the revs and fuel economy was a lot better while making a lovely noise.
My Triumph lost it’s low down torque and required a lot more revs to get going, but up top it screamed like a banshee and revved up much faster and felt like it made a significant deal more power for it.
It did however explode at 33,000km...
