I finally got rid of the Gomoto and upgraded to a Twister. What a great improvement in all areas, it just feels really solid and reassuring. Only 2000k so still very fresh.

Are there dedicated Honda service shops (dealerships) or would I have to go to the local bike repair shop for services?
Well done on the upgrade, Jap bikes are so much more reliable, In my experience the guys who run Chinese bike shops are more than capable of fixings lower end Japanese bikes, your is also made in India so parts should be easy to get.

"Analque" LOL
Jokes aside though, it looks like the computer the put in their cars, kind of cool.

Looks like the ones found on KTM dukes. I've only seen photos though. Apparently they're give you pretty in depth info on the bike. I personally prefer a dual setup, analogue rev counter and digital for everything else. The needle moving about feels natural.

No hell analog can die a quick death.

It still boggles my mind that my high tech bike has this big analog thing that is hardly legible anyway, while it has a big screen that gets compromised to make things fit.

Just put one big screen in. Like they’ve now started doing across the board it seems.

Sucks that I’d need to buy a new bike to get it and the navigation.

Not sure, will check when I take one for a spin in the next few weeks.

I just cringe (well, clench actually) at the thought of a "motoring journalist" queuing up his digits anywhere near my anal cavity. Will examine the bike verrrrrry carefully before swinging a leg over! :X3::ROFL::ROFL:

Seems it is an option so that’s good I was worried they’d cut the cheaper bikes out of that to protect the bigger bike market.

Wonder if we’ll just get it across the range as with most BMW’s in SA with top spec models only.

Standing in front of the 750GS at the moment, it is a completely new bike from the ground up.

That commentary has the sound of someone trading in about it.
There is nothing wrong with my F800 though I just replaced the front fork seal (source of the oil leak) and both hand grips which were worn through.

So it's the Toy Run in Cape Town this Sunday.
Anyone else going to test the cooling in their bike?

Something else about the 750's display. The controls are on the left hand grip.

Sounds typically BMW? The GPS wheel controller is also on the left hand.

I ****ing hate the thing though and wish it was a smaller/narrow button based thing instead as it makes the stretch to the indicator and hooter unnecessarily far.

Nope, did it once and never again. Too many fair weather rider times who can't control bikes at slow speeds to save their lives.

Then get a few dops in later and make chaos.

I'll stick to alternative toyruns with people I know if I get invited to them.

Hello guys and girls. I'm tempted by a 2014 KTM Duke 390 for getting around CT.

Any comments or warnings? I've been told that parts aren't cheap.

I believe they aren’t overly expensive to run but not based on any personal experience.

They are Indian KTM’s basically.

KTM Cape Town is just expensive and sub standard but there are a couple of well regarded third party service options.
