Am sad I missed the Toy Run this year. Fantastic initiative! Prior years' Toy Runs were well organised and plenty fun. Will do a charity run for local animal shelters next me thinks...

I missed it as well, work interfered as it has an annoying habit to do whenever I want to do something over the weekend.

Crikey no. Whilst I love the good intentions of the run, A few mates & I ride alone to the venue, drop off the toys, have a few beers, then bugger off.

Group rides of that size are full of wankers who have no clue how to ride in formation, as well as loads of brekkie runners & yuppies who cannot ride safely on their own let alone in formation.

Supported. Went on one toy run and seeing some of the toss riding skills on display was enough to put me off doing mass rides for a life time

Same here.

In the old days when I had riding mates got invited to a few “alternative toy runs” where you go in exactly the opposite direction and drop stuff off by some far flung hospital or some such.

Was always amazing because the roads were empty and all the cops are elsewhere.

Besides if you do get stopped unlikely someone is going to give a bunch of bikes full of toys a hard time.

Good day all

Trust all is lekker, I would like to insure my GSXR 750b(2015) however the premiums I am receiving is way to expensive R1600 and up.

Kindly advise as to a reputable company/companies for bike insurance.

How old are you? Do you have a full license? Are you insuring other stuff with the bike?

This Outsurance or some other direct company by any chance?

One would think that the traffic on the N1 between Pretoria and Joburg would ease up in Dec. I haven't taken the cage to work in months and I tend to forget how many bikers travel daily between PTA and JOBURG. What amazes me even more is to see how little attention our fellow road users are paying when driving on the highway...almost like people think driving a car is for funsies and we don't have to pay attention to what is going on around us. Scary stuff...

Travel safe guys!

What do you guys do with the tickets when you enter a mall? If I'm wearing gloves (yes I know I should be all the time) its a bit of a hassle, I try putting it into the glove itself, or squeeze through the visor and hold it with my mouth. Opening velcro sealed pockets is a bit hard with gloves on. Exiting the mall similar problem.

So what do you guys (and girls) do?

I hold it between two fingers in my left hand. Helps that I don't have to worry about a clutch lever I guess

Howzit and welcome.

That must have taken some time getting used to huh? Wearing gloves makes life harder or doesn't bother you at all?

I don’t go to malls that don’t have motorcycle parking outside of the boomed area or allow for bikes to pass to boomed game.

Simple as that really.

If I have no choice in the matter I skip it under my helmet and hold it between my lips.
