School fees I guess, second time putting the bike down in my 2.5years of ownership, strangely both times the bike wasn't moving.

I've put a bike down putting my foot into the grass area next to the driveway and then stepping deeper than anticipated.

You learn to look for all these little things.

Almost dropping the RS the other day was probably the last time in 10 years that I almost did it and purely also for being in unfamiliar territory and moving the bike around while walking it while stupidly leaving the stand up.

Had the stand been down it would have been no issue, but harder to walk the bike. Stupid compromise looking back.

What do you guys do with the tickets when you enter a mall? If I'm wearing gloves (yes I know I should be all the time) its a bit of a hassle, I try putting it into the glove itself, or squeeze through the visor and hold it with my mouth. Opening velcro sealed pockets is a bit hard with gloves on. Exiting the mall similar problem.

So what do you guys (and girls) do?

Without flaps on my gloves to store it, I hold it under my left palm on the grip, assuming I'm only going to pull the clutch 2 or 3 times.

Merry Christmas to me, Bike fell in the driveway, my fault though. Bike wasn't leaned over enough due to uneven brick driveway.
fell and broke the mirror and the footpeg, both broke at the loops where bolts go through so hope of repair is very low.

It fell to the right while i was standing on the left so no hope of catching or even setting down slowly.

So anyone know where i can get Kawasaki ER6 spares?

FML that happened to me as well, except it was this horrible Cape Town wind. front and back side fenders scratched ,foot peg broken, and a chunk taken out of my wind screen. made the best of it, since I chose to buy a 20 year old model :crying:

Swak one.

Mine blew over during strong winds, while parked. It busted an indicator and the handle bar end piece. I still managed to ride and replace it a week later but a foot peg and mirror... Thoughts and prays...

Shame man. I saw a harley with a very weird side stand; the bike was standing almost at an angle of 45 degrees, where as other bikes stand at 70 - 80 degrees angle, but then in harley everything weird is normal :)

My bike's clutch switch seems to have given up. The cruise control & quickshifter work 5% of the time </3
I may as well be riding a delivery bike.

Ish

Reminds me of this, brand new custom just backed out of the delivery trailer

So I'm fairly new to riding a sports bike, and wondering how bikers normally deal with the visibility in mirrors when ducking down and sitting in a more upright position?

Each model is different. You have to play around to find the sweet spot.

My first 3 bikes all had mirrors that were useless, only gave a view of my arms no matter how they were adjusted, the best I could do was to twist to one side then I could see past my body in the mirrors. My current bike (Ninja 400) is much better in that I can actually see whats happening behind me whether I'm tucked in or upright.

I know there are "extenders" that you can fit on your bike if you want to move the mirrors more outward for a better view, that may help you.

But right now I'm looking for tiny blind-spot mirrors. Just like the ones you get for cars, but smaller of course.

When I’m ducking down I’m not worried about what is happening behind me! My mirrors are positioned for my everyday seating position and works well on both

Lmao. Yep even a mk1 golf. :X3:

Sometimes even standing still at a stop or traffic lights we need to be able to see around you. I have seen and heard of bikers that got hit by a car from behind while standing still.
Happened to me. The guy behind me was timing the lights and moved off before the lights actually turned green and I had a chance to move off. Fortunately it was low speed so no damage, just disconcerting.

Anybody have knowledge of Quadsuresa for insurance?

http://www.quadsuresa.co.za/

They are quoting me R827 for my 2 bikes compared to Outsurance R2 241. Most of this is for my Duke and I just had to get quick insurance so only shopping around now. I'm not too bothered about excesses etc
