Bit far away. RM is a R40 uber ride away from home, so quite convenient.
I am going to challenge them on the pricing of their parts though. R1700 exc vat for the fork work. And a separate labour charge (3.5h) ...

Makes sense. Seems steep man

How many hours labour is a normal service? (oil + filters)? Would the 3.5 include the forks?

Hey guys, I usually take my Triumph to Mike Hopkins but they have moved from Cape Town to Tiger Valley and really want to avoid having to mission up there. Does anyone have a recommendation of a service center who would be able to service a Triumph in Southern Suburbs?

I would imagine so.

BMW I think break it down into 10 minute increments but my labour units were as below....

Service - 5
Oil Change - 2
Fork Fluid Change - 14
Brake Fluid Front Change - 5
Brake Fluid Rear - 2

Which makes it 4.5 hours.

Suzuki South is the only thing that comes to mind. They can't do any worse work than Mike Hopkins...

I take my Bike to Kawasaki Madmacs in Somerset west. They do all bikes and is cheaper than Suzuki South And Mike Hopkins.

I reckon if he wasn’t keen to take it only a little bit north he isn’t going to be at all keen to take it across country. :)

Got the bike back, the front forks feel a lot stiffer now. Feels better, less slushy. I wonder if they'd been leaking for a while - I honestly did not notice anything.

Not much. Received a lower quote from cross country but because excess is so high I just kept with OUTsurance

I searched your post and found a hit on the bikehub forums, a guy there posted that he has details of a friend. So I messaged him and his friend is basically saving me half my premium.. :) Worth a try!

Well it’s always nice when you spent money and actually feel a difference.

My mate who rides a Triumph goes to Superbike Solutions in Somerset West, and is very happy with the service.

Somerset West is way too far from Southern Suburbs. I will try suzuki south and report back.
