Phoned Honda now... they managed to get it started, but now the bike doesn't want to change gears. Did a test and the "computer program" says their might be a short somewhere or a loose connection

Either rats love Honda's or thats Honda's go to excuse, a friend of mine has a NC700, was running on 1 cylinder and rats in the wiring was the same excuse. was only a couple grand though not 22K.

Surely it should be sheathed? And reasonably hard to get to.

Not to mention are they removing the motor or how the hell does it get to that?

Sounds like a serious pisstaking to me.
