Yea of course discussion is vital to the forum, but this same nonsense has been going on for pages and it’s really not complicated.

Either way, I’m going bike hunting this weekend. Now that you’ve replaced the seat, is your MT-09 more comfy? Any complaints? It’s the bike I’m looking at right now.

Why not go full bossies and buy iamgigglz' KTM 990? Saw it for sale on Carb the other day. Stunning bike :)

It is definitely more comfy, but to be honest the original wasn't bad at all if you only do commuting.

I have no idea about the third party stuff or how it gets branded / rebranded.

But like I said before there isn't really a car/bike or petrol/diesel oil.

There's a specification and that you'll find branded many different things.

Just that the BMW stuff is specifically a rebranded Diesel oil and that if you look at many diesel oil spec sheets you'll see they qualify as per OEM recommendation.

I think it’s a bit much for me honestly. Also, I’d rather buy factory stock with warranty. Does look good though.

I mostly commute, but that’s also because the previous bike wouldn’t cut it on breakfast runs really. This one I would be more adventurous with.

I meant a bit much bike

Last bike was a 250. I’ve ridden bigger, but not on a frequent basis or anything. I sit the MT-09 comfortably, whereas the KTMs I have sat on were a bit high for me to comfortably sit.
 
My Vespa Rally 180

Not sure how many Vespa fans are hiding here, but thought I'd share some pics of mine:

This is my 1970 Vespa Rally 180. It's not the most common model, it was given to me by my grandfather (the original owner) when I was 17 (16 years ago :o ), thankfully I never wrecked it.
I rode it for a good few years but then let it stand in the garage for probably the last 10 years... Some months ago I finally decided it was time to clean it up a bit and get it running again, I'm especially pleased that it's still in extremely original condition - my grandfather was an extremely meticulous person so he never lost a thing, seriously I even have the original invoice from when he bought it (R465.25 in 1971 :p ).

I just polished the paintwork as good as I could and buffed the chrome parts. I ordered a some new rubber bits (floor mat, grips and so on) a new saddle cover and tail-light, took an age to arrive but finally did this week so now I've got it all together again.

My brother overhauled the motor for me, pretty much just needed new clutch plates. Starts with on kick and runs like a dream, still sounds like a lawnmower though. :p

^^^^ That's a beaut. Enjoy - there is something serene about tootling through the suburbs on a scooter. So long as you stay out of traffic! :crylaugh:

My brother once said riding a scooter is funny until someone you know sees you.
 
redarrow on the red Vespa...I'll keep an eye open for you on the roads!
