There armor structure was similar to the BMW Rallye jackets when I checked for about 3k less.
Yeah I seem to remember they use Knox inserts.
At least on the ones I looked at.

Is anyone going to the BMW open day in Stellenbosch on Saturday? If you are, look out for me. I'll be the guy doing 2km/h on the G310GS with a terrified look in my eyes![]()

Apparently they're overbooked though so not sure how much riding I'll actually be able to do.
Aaah, don't do Facebook so that explains it. I've never actually been to that dealership.
They are generally very good with controlling their numbers so I would be too stressed, at least as I've seen with track days.
Hi all. Noob question. I got a new Suzuki GS150R and want to mount a topbox to it. However, seems there are no standard mounting for that model? (Got that info from Flying Brick). Does anyone perhaps know where in Cape Town I could get something like that done so I can fit a topbox?
I can relate, riding the footpaths is great fun. My daily comute consists of regular transitions between road and footpaths/grass/gravel on the side of the road.Reason I love motorcycling number 437: What would've been a major inconvienance in a car - turned into a fun adventure that put a smile on my face that'll stay the rest of the day.
Longer story. Some a bus broke down in a normal two way street, some dude, thought he'd overtake him, only to have his car breakdown as well - I'm guessing. Seeing as the two were parked next to each other facing the same way, both with blinkers on and engines off.
This made me think to take a footpath route that I've never ridden before, because its a bit rough with no smooth exit onto the tar at the other end. I did it and it was the awesomest thing ever! Granted I probably went like 5km/h but it felt like 60, and it was awesome!

I was very surprised by the bikes ability to climb pavements and tackle dirt roads comfortably without bottoming the suspension. Given that it's a Chinese road bike I never expected much, so I'm sure you'll be fine to go over 5km/h
How you finding the BMW so far? Any issues?Yeah. I've been going onto the easier footpaths quite a bit. Just this specific one has been daunting in the sense that it has really rough terrain and the exit is perpendicular to a relatively busy road. However, this episode today showed me that I need to keep pushing to keep learning
I'm quite certain the bike is a crapton more capable than I am. So, I'm growing into it.

See if you can do a BMW course. I did the novice course and afterwards they were quite happy for me to test ride a 1200 gsa and an f800RView attachment 531171
Nice day out at Anura Wine Estate for the BMW Motorrad adventure bike open day. Ended up not riding anything. Was just too nervous to pilot any of those machines with no experience. Still, being around those bikes gave me a real appreciation for them. The desired R3 is slowly being replaced!![]()
