"Slow down at intersections even if you have the right of way because other joburg road users cannot be trusted"so we can all hopefully learn something from it.

Here it's traffic circles, no one stops or even check when entering one. Guy in Cherokee drove over me last year, while I was inside the circle and he was coming in. Nowadays, I will almost stop dead, if someone just even looks like they're not going to stop for me."Slow down at intersections even if you have the right of way because other joburg road users cannot be trusted"

For racing it is great fun, but not for commuting or riding on the road. I actually wanted to buy a KTM 450 that was converted to a motard and made road worthy. If it does not start the first try with the electric start than you are screwed and have to try kick it, decided against it and just got a full racing supermoto. If you want a road worthy supermoto then rather buy one that is made for the road like an Aprilia SXV or a Husky 701 or something like that
I would also look at the suzuki drz400sm. I commuted on one for years. For racing it is great fun, but not for commuting or riding on the road. They just seem a bit rare these days for some reason, especially second hand
Don't let it scare you. Unfortunately it happens, and people that ride bikes know and take the risks and still choose to hop onto two wheels as it is what they love. Just be safe and vigilant, that is about as much as we can doTragic! I am having my first lesson this Saturday and I have been so excited I can barely sit still. Now I don't know...
They are great bikes indeed. Just so damn high! That's the one.
They are tall. I had a lowering kit installed on mine, otherwise it was tiptoes. They are great bikes indeed. Just so damn high!
