My oxford one has done well thus far, what I found helps is standing periodically to prevent pooling of water while you are sitting. Its the pooling that eventually gets through the stitching.
At 289 rhondts from the kooperasie in Elliot on a Rhodes trip last year , the current cheapy is still holding out OK.
Tried Oxford ... worked for a season but by middle of next summer I still experienced a tight little bag 'o prunes in my rods after every rainy ride

I have a cheap thompsons work wear rain coat, the seams are heat sealed andit really is water proof, sure it will probably not last that long, but at like R300 you cant complain if it lasts a year or more

So last night was the third time I've put my visor in the dishwasher and I know it's the most evil thing you can possibly imagine and the manufacturer most certainly says "use a soft cloth with only warm water" but bugger that it works like a charm.

Obviously don't put the pinlock in there with it and don't run it on the highest heat setting but third time lucky I can't see it coming out any worse than it went in.

Only tried it the first time because I was ready to replace it and then didn't need to after the fact.

I have a retired helmet somewhere in my garage. I'm trying this.

Here's an odd question.
Anyone got an idea where I could find the front vent for a Shark Skwal?
I had an argument with it and it decided to get off... While I was still riding.
Couldn't find it unfortunately.
And while I generally have it open most of the time, there's quite a bit more noise now...

you can buy the parts from the importer, let me try find it

It is not that it can't, just that it gets dirty with all the carp spraying off the road

Hate to break it to you mate but it was never going to stay clean.

Also don’t even bother cleaning it in the first place. Just wax it up every 1000km or so.

So question. A few days ago some knucklehead in an I10, was deliberately blocking my path. So we're moving, and every time I aim to pass, they move closer to the car in the other lane, closing my little lane split opening. I figured whatever, slacked off, went behind them, they brake checked me, then when I tried over taking on the other side they again blocked me.

At the time, I was flippen furious and just plain bugged out of there, but thinking back on it - although I since deleted the footage off my camera, could I have used the footage to open a case of attempted murder or something? Would you have? Am I being stupid? Should I have taken their mirror with me as a souvenir?

nah, hasn't happened to me, but I would just let it 'go' - learn from it, to ignore and avoid - even with a shitty little I10, he's a threat, so stay away
