Need a cheapie. Suggestions?

We had a Hyuandai i10 for 5 years, didn't have 1 single issue with it. very economical and reliable little cars.
 
I myself am looking at a NEW run around with good fuel eco and fairly comfortable drive with aircon and hopefully sat nav,usb,parking sensor? Also warranty, service, insurance is also going to play major role is my final choice.

I've driven a 2017 model entry Kia Picanto for 6mlonths now and have only good things to say about it.

Anyone driven or have any first hand experience with the Kwid?

Don't do it. Keep the Picanto rather. Do you have the latest Picanto? Otherwise if you really need to change, I'd get that if you don't have it already.
 
Thanks for the thread, it's been really helpful. We're in the same boat and from what I can gather we should rather stick to the i10 the ford figo and possibly a kia picanto, any other suggestions? What size engine in the i10 or is the i10 grand better?

Go for the Grand i10, bigger and slightly powerful, get the 1.2l.

Yip the latest. I was advised it's had all the earlier versions issues ironed out,and from my extensive driving it, it certainly felt as perfect as a eco model could be. came with aircon,half decent sound system, onboard computer, nice power steering, front elec windows, cup holders, usb/aux connection...off the top of my head

plus its a pretty good looker. much prefer it to the i10 actually.
less bubble shaped.
 
I bought my Picanto new in 2013. Love the little thing, but after 50k kms the seat has worn through. It's fine for driving in town, but long drives gets painful.
Never buy an i10 - long drives makes you want to kill yourself. Most uncomfortable seats ever.

Try out a 2nd gen 1.6 Hyundai i30! Plenty power on the coast (a bit asthmatic here in JHB) and the seats are very comfy, especially the leather seats. My sister has it and its very comfy, fuel economy is around 7.5l/100km. You can get a 2013 1.8 Executive with 80k for about 170k. Shop around and Im sure you can get a better deal. Good standard sound system too.

I posted a link to a car which solves your concerns. You will not get a better ride at your price than than the beemer.
