Network lost in Windows 8

Yesterday we had storms and I decided to pull the telephone line from the wall. Then proceeded to do usb tethering with my phone. I then did a "auto fix" with the win 8 function. After everything was back to normal I saw I can't access any network drives.

I tried resetting everything as per this post - http://www.geeksinphoenix.com/blog/post/2012/09/16/Resetting-your-network-adapter-in-Windows-8.aspx But it didn't work.

Tried various google searches and didn't find anything.

Any ideas of what I can try (or search for) to get it going again?

OK, I just managed to fix it by resetting the TCP/ip6

netsh interface ipv6 reset

I doubt if you make use of IPv6, why not disable it? Will cause less problems in the future...
