So I picked up my new PC yesterday, after the shop saying the key I gave them for Windows 10 Pro had already been used. They loaded Win 10 Pro anyhow.

I contact the seller of the Win10 Pro and I have a new key to try.

Problems I encountered on the “trial” last night win10 was “encountered a problem and needs to restart after gathering information”, also the system froze every now and then.

Very frustrating evening I might add.

Can the trial Win10 cause those issues or is it a hardware issue?

It shouldn't, but there could be multiple reasons for system instability.
Could be that something went wrong with the Windows installation, could be drivers, could be RAM, could be a SATA cable thats not securely plugged in or could even be a power supply issue.
With the information you provided its a bit difficult to narrow down what exactly is causing it.

If you are getting blue screens, then taking down the error it displays would be a good way to start troubleshooting.

Just added hardware

Make sure you have the latest version of the Nvidia drivers installed, and check that your not missing any drivers for your system.
If it still occurs I suggest taking out your RAM and putting it back in.
If it still happens, plug out one ram slot and try running with just one stick.
If after that its still happens try running with the other ram stick. That way you can rule out RAM issues.

Thanks will try those suggestions

I’ve only ever run the unacticated Insider builds in my VM’s and never had a blue screen so I can’t think it would be the license.

It’s not like the fundamental underpinnings change with a license.

So it must be a configuration or hardware issue.

Right so, loaded the new key given to me and its not that as Windows is activated. All drivers are up to date.

Could it possibly be my keyboard or mouse. They ok on my older pc with with Win7?

Well it was the drivers that needed updating.
Running like a dream now.

You said the drivers were up to date?
The CPU driver was released the night after I struggled amongst the freezing and blue screen updating the drivers. According to the supplier.

It's sorted and loving it.
