New FNB Smartphone App

I tested the SIP subsystem. Its better than the previous application but still has a lot of quality issues to make a call.... I wouldn't use it unless it is an absolute emergency (phone calls only) the rest of the app works like a dream

Pretty cool app, trying it out on android - although 17mb is pretty crazy for a mobile app. Imagine when updates are released and your phone updates via 3G data.

Ok will try to download with my PC. Not going to use 3G for this. Can the app be installed on the sd card?

thanks!! installed it and its pretty cool:)

Sent from my GT-I9000 using MyBroadband Android App

Is there a way I can download from the Android market via my PC? Will need to install the app on 2 phones.

Works very well! Like the fact that you first need to link your phone via online banking... well thought through

Sounds interesting, I will try it on my Nokia E51. It is Symbian though, I have to check on the Ovi store.

Indeed. There's even a bit to "delink" your phone and you can set transfer limits specific to your phone on there. (Settings > FNB App)

Does anybody know if FNB charges you when you make transaction using the app? Cellphone banking is free so wondering if this is also free or do they charge you like they do when you use internet banking?

I checked the Ovi store and didn't see it. Let me know if you find it though.

See the link I posted above, doesn't look like the Nokia version supports the banking features, I could be mistaken so wait for someone else to verify it

Cellphone banking uses USSD (*120*321#) and this uses Normal Data so you'll most likely be charged, blackberry uses on the other hand will be able to access it for free..
