So I sit corrected. 8ta do have a carrier bundle for the iPad. They only people who don't is Cell C.
I had a dig around in the XML file located here: http://itunes.apple.com/version and found the following carrier bundles:
Vodacom
http://appldnld.apple.com/iPhone/CarrierBundles/041-1384.20110603.B3vmR/Vodafone_za_iPhone.ipcc
http://appldnld.apple.com/iPhone/CarrierBundles/041-2974.20111104.UKiu5/Vodafone_za_iPad.ipcc
CellC
http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS5/CarrierBundles/041-0905.20120608.64ftg/CellC_za_iPhone.ipcc
8ta
http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS5/CarrierBundles/041-4432.20120307.etu4r/8ta_za_iPad.ipcc
MTN
http://appldnld.apple.com/iPhone/CarrierBundles/041-3827.20120120.JmcY3/MTN_za_iPhone.ipcc
http://appldnld.apple.com/iPhone/CarrierBundles/041-0623.20110408.Lnsd2/MTN_za_iPad.ipcc
So I'll amend my statement that 8ta don't have an agreement with Apple for the iPhone. It seems things are slightly different for the iPad? Again unless either Apple or the mobile providers speak up, we can't do much more than speculate.
