I would assume he is "abusing" due to cancellation fee. They only force cancellation fee for normal usage clients iirc from posts. This implies he was not an abuser.
 
so my usage 226gbs that includes 30gbs of p2p is well under the cap! so why am i being throttled?
or is it congestion due to it being the end of the month and everybody is ramming in the downloads?

My usage is almost exactly the same (240G used) but with no p2p usage and I've noticed that since the beginning of the week my speed drops to around 4 between 19h00 and 23h00.

I was usually at around 20Mbps if I look at my avg history over the last 8 months.

a router reset normally fixes this ; I'll try again tonight in peak hour and see what the effect is.

This one must learn to read, and yeah i had to pay palatines because my usage was considered normal and not abuse as for adielk why wouldn't i use it? i still have to pay for 1 Month..so it will be active for a month..

So you go from less than 300gb a month ... So the FUP would NEVER affect you anyways so there was no reason to cancel (just putting it out there) ... to using 1.4tb and the month isn't even over yet.

Dude your story smells like the PE harbor. Very fishy

Why you trying to be the bandwidth police? Telkom created the product its their fault.
 
Guess he has toxic in his name for a reason :D, but yeah seems like Telkom will be enforcing the new AuP starting next month as throttling is inconsistent at the moment at least when throttled pings are amazing for LTE 23ms to CPT on 2300mhz, 13ms on 1800mhz :D

Got the same sms. The good thing is the limit is now clearly stated. No more hide and seek.

Oh they will.. And it seems lots of people here are happy with 300GB.. wait until it turns to 200GB again.

A 90Mb connection should have AUP of 900GB!!!
 
I hit 300gb a couple days ago and I used it mostly on streaming, speed is now around 3mbps and I can barely use netflix.

Thats my issue. I have reduced my quality for netflix which I shouldnt have to and limit the connection to netflix only and basic social media. But sadly most are apathetic customers accepting anything.
 
I will use the R599 deal to its max and switch to vdsl or fibre if available at that time. Smart strategy to lock in potential fibre users thus blocking fibre ISPs.
