I already replied to the thread you started about it, if you posted in here why did you feel the need to start a new thread? That's not cool man, patience is key...

Edit:

I see your thread was removed, The question was, do you use Avast antivirus by any chance?

sorry trying to get this sort this out but no looks at the minor sections :) sorry

i dont use avast , i use avg, its only started since we swopped over to a uncapped line.

Why are there 3 green arrows?
It attempts to make 3 concurrent connections but SAIX only allows 2. If you look at your download speed you'll see it's still going at full speed anyway.

2 connections with more bandwidth per connection is the same as 3 connections with slightly less bandwidth per connection.

Are you using Grabit? Remove the server and add it again, right click on it and update grouplist after you added it again, restart grabit.

Check that you have 2 connections running from the download and also check that your settings are as close to defaults as possible, It could be your connection, maybe your ISP doesn't allow downloads from news servers?

only 2 connections running, settings are default, it doesnt allow me to do the update grouplist, i am using grab it, im able to ping the news servers, so i dont thinks it the isp as they would then just block those ip's, im using fixed ip tho. hope this is making sense?

Right.

I thought I could some how limit the connections to 2 manually. It seemed that when ever it attempted to make a 3rd connection, speed would drop.

P.S. pretty slow around here tonight.

What do you mean it doesn't allow you to update grouplist? If you right click on the server name there is a selection which says "update grouplist" it then downloads a file or two.

i do it and it just pauses everything, click to unpause it it dones 2 secs later it paused again?? wont update group list as its always pausing

Tyerone you're on IS and you're using 2 connections. Good luck with that. You should be able to use 5.

Well it's not supposed to affect the speed when trying to make the 3rd connection.

not sure would that make a difference tho as should i not just get a slower downlaod speed???

Uncached stuff comes down in drips and drabs, slow and intermittent, it's normal for uncached stuff.
