No data connection on Android (MTN user)

Hi everyone,
I've got a problem. I recently bought a Sony Xperia Z3 Compact and i made a sim swap (I was using an iPhone 3Gs). The sim card has been cropped and I can make calls and receive. The problem is that I can't get the data connnection (I can't use my airtime or bundles to access the Internet features). I downloaded the setting for the APNs but nothing worked. I dialed the *123#on MTN and followed the instructions but nothing happened. I can only use the phone on WiFi.

Thanks, I phoned them. The lady told me that there's connection services for the new smartphones in cape town and they're trynna solve the problem. I've got a friend who's using the same phone and has her internet working (she uses Vodacom).
