What is the big deal about a camera on a cellphone?
Why is that such a seemingly important criteria, such as in that review that favoured the N82?. I mean, if Kodak lost the plot added telephony features to their range of cameras, would it be fair to use the "telephony" features as a main point when comparing camera features?
I am not, and never have, been concerned about the camera on my cellphone, I couldn't care less whether or not my phone had a camera, that is not my primary use for my phone. I have a camera for that. On a phone of any kind, I think that the camera is a gimmick anyway.
Samsung could take away the camera on the i900, maybe they would have space to make a slot for the stylus then?.

I think you'll find I covered this earlier... most phones can do the telephony part of the function just fine. So you then need to decide what the next thing is that interests you. The argument of "oh but why not just buy a digital camera" always makes me laugh! Why then bother adding anything else to a phone. Why not just make sure it makes calls and leave it at that?
But I am not in the mood to go through this again.... page back and see the reasons given.
You clearly need to do some research or get out more. The camera on some of these latest phones are quite obviously more than a gimmick!!! You are so stuck in the past!
EDIT : The post of yours also seems a little pointless in a thread where the OP is trying to decide between the Omnia or the N82.... he was not after the Nokia 5110!

Well I am looking at the new Anytime packages from MTN :
This is the package I am looking at :

This is the only offer where the Omnia matches up as it is on special at the moment :
Omnia R500 on Anytime500
N82 R500 on Anytime500
I got the Omnia on the MTN 200, for R319 a month.
so, the N82 is cheaper.
I would still go for the Omnia, but I think we all know that by now.

How long is the warranty that MTN offers on the Omnia? And is it part covered by Samsung and the remainder by MTN themselves?

Anytime 500 is tempting, but I would also have to opt for the Anytime 200 offer as R500 a month is a tad too steep for me
Btw, what does it cost for like an 8GB SDHC card for the N82?
And is the GPS software installed on the 2GB card that comes with the N82?

I read the full review, and I must say, it wasn't very detailed.
Other reviews I've read and watched (video reviews) were pretty impressive and I didn't see any of the flaws mentioned in the T3 review, which makes me think they didn't want to give the Omnia a fair go, or they got a dud test model.

Have been a Nokia person all my life, but am definitely looking for a PDA type cell with a nice keyboard where I don't have to press a button 3 times to get to the 3rd letter on the button 
No phone is perfect, but I am leaning more towards the Omnia even though I realise you can't go too wrong with a Nokia. That said, my old Nokia N70 irritates the crap out of me

OK, I read the Omnia, N82 and iPhone reviews by T3, and they all seem to be very superficial reviews. I'm afraid I can't place any stock in what these guys r saying about these phones. To be taken with a pinch of salt, IMO.

If my experience with the N95 is anything to go buy then all software is loaded on the phone and the 2Gb card just comes as part of the package. The N82 does not come with Garmin but with Nokia maps. You can load Garmin however if you desire, and as I did on my N95.
I have searched the net extensively and read plenty reviews and I can state that in most instances the N82 gets higher ratings than the Omnia. It also boils down to Symbian versus Windows software.
Be careful if the reviews are US based...they shoot Omnia down due to the fact that its 3G does not work in US.... just a thought..

Yeah, I can honestly tell you that I have no loyalty to either brand. I have had two Nokias and two Samsungs previously. My current phone is the N95 though and I can say without a doubt that it is the best phone I have ever owned or seen around. Now from what I read and see the N82 is an improvement on the N95... I would not have thought this was possible but if it is, I want it!

Yip - MTN's copied Voda and has a 24 month warrenty on all contract handsets bought from them - 1st yr the manufacturer, 2nd yr MTN.

3G on the N82 doesn't work in the US either as it operates on the 2100 MHz frequency band. Therefore I would say that US reviews are actually more likely to be unbiased.
No, you get a CD that will install the files back to the card.
I think it can be an advantage that you get an extra card, because you can use it for other stuff (an 8GB will be handy on my wii).

I saw the N82 yesterday and played around with it (a friend has it). I am pretty much sold. The phone is bigger then expected, but it's not UGLY as some reviewers calls it. But it's really jam packed with features.
He upgraded on iTalk and I heard he got it with 2 year navigation license. Does it come standard with all packages? I'm on MTN.
PS: Been on leave for a few days and could't get onto the internet
