Not So Cool... : (

Yeah it happened again, and seems to be happening during the day now. We are working with Seacom and IS to drop these attacks.

Hi All, just an update on this we have processes in place to mitigate the attack. Seacom have come to the party with some mechanisms that allow us to combat the attacks. We have also adjusted some or our core services to absorb these kind of attacks.

Good to hear. Thanks

Glad things are back to normal. I had to use Vodacom LTE during the blackout, and it was a huge downgrade.

Connections were down again last night. Couldn't connect to any sites at all. Not just slow, DNS server issues it seems.

Hi Snotface, no issues last night, have you logged it with our support?

Nope, i only tried rebooting the CPE, becasue i'd received your mail about the DDOS attacks and assumed it was related.
Wll have to check again later when i get home.

Please log in these scenarios, the DDoS only applied to Monday and Tuesday evening, did you receive our communication via email? Please feel free to escalate to me directly on paul at cisp.co.za

Yep, received the email at 15:58 on 2016/04/20. It came from noreply and said we would be notified when the issue was fully resolved, which is why i just assumed last night's issue was related.

I'll check tonight and let you know. Maybe my router just needed a reboot.
