NZB Sites

Yeah, and their pricing is good as well. Really wish it worked for me. For R120 I'd say he should give it a go.

I have also heard good things about SunnyUsenet if you or musha wants to give them a spin, they offer a 7 day free trial and a 5Mbps account at R80 for 3 months for those that can't get 10Mbps ADSL.

UsenetBucket worked for me for about a week, then all went to hell. Could not authenticate my account, and when it did the downloads failed or was out of server retention period. Support suggested lowering number of connections and a few other fixes, nothing worked. Gave up after a while. Tried the account toward the end of the 3 month period, same problems again after 2 days.

I still use nextgennews and never really have any failed downloads or authentication issues. I must preface that by saying their support is crap as of late.

Ahhhh, NextGenNews... There we go... That was the one I was using late last year, also didn't have much issues with it.
This time around though, I'm open to try some others and like the sound of Usenetbucket.com. I will try their 7 day as a trial to see if it works out.

For 5 Euro (R79 odd cents) it won't break the bank if it does not work out before the 30day is done... Afterwhich I will purchase a block from Nextgen...

Thanks for the input, just what I needed.

Btw, is sickbeard still the frontrunner for automation for series? I've read about NZBDrone (Sonarr?)?

I used Sick Beard for years and years and 2 weeks ago moved over to Sonarr, I love it, it looks so good, runs smooth and most importantly is still being actively worked on by the developer.

If the file is older than 1100 days or the host received a DMCA notice then nothing to be down about that, but it's weird how our experience differs so much, I haven't ever seen a failed download with UsenetBucket and the only time SABnzbd shows an average below 1.0MB/s is when I throttle it.

Maybe ISP related.
Sooooo many fails on my side with UsenetBucket :( Even brand new stuff, 1 day old. Probably DMCA.

Still using them however, just using Astraweb as block

I don't get it, I use Sonarr and when I wake up everything is waiting for me, i never have to do a thing or check why something failed, 100% working for ages now.

It was the same with me, certain newish things as well would fail. Maybe it's just luck of the draw, some users haven't got any issues, others have.

As Musha said, try it for a month before committing, seems to be the best option.

I also switched to Sonarr a few months back. I prefer it over sickbeard. Once you have it set up correctly it just works without any interference.

I use sunny. Not the highest retention though. For recent stuff it is good value. Think I paid just over R200 for the year upfront.

If you want value for money and +2300 days retention the try newsdemon.com.

I usually buy the one off 200GB for R70.00 and I can't remember when last I experienced 'article not found'.

Can anyone recommend an android app to download nzb's?

Sorry if I am asking in the wrong place.

hi guys, please recommend reliable free or paid indexers. i am struggling to find a couple of my series. Even last weeks episode of the strain.

Hi All

Happy new years :)

Does anyone have a NZBSA invite for me please?

Thanks

most stable solution for me the past year :

automation : Sonarr

NZB providers :
OZnzb
dognzb
newshost
and as a backup (5 days delay) - KickAss with utorren

Downloading from : Nextgennews using SABNzbd

for almost 500 active shows, only rarely is content not found. really happy :)

When using NZBSA
What does it mean when the news server (news.is.co.za) says article not found?
