Official LG G2

what network may I ask you are with? Also sorry to hear about your problems, I have had a minor software problem but no battery drain or hissing.

On the Vodacom network. Haven't used a headset on it as yet so I'm not sure if it has the hissing noise.

I got my phone from vodacom as well, no update yet though :(

The updates from LG are not pushed by the carrier. Although I'm using Vodacom, my phone was purchased in Dubai and when the update was released there I got it.

Got my G2 on Tuesday after a very quick upgrade process at Vodacom.

Wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue - the phone doesn't seem to want to change between cell phone towers. It's fine if I sit at my desk or at home, but as soon as you move around, it drops the signal, and it won't regain signal without a restart. 3G reception also seems very poor.

I'm doing to take it back today for the 7 day out of box replacement, but I'm a little concerned that this is a design issue.

Is this signal problem still an issue with the current OS version and with KitKat?

So I got my G2 back after a screen repair, and everything was just fine, but there was a software update that needed to be done to improve apps...
I did the update and now when the screen is locked (black screen but power is on) the double tap feature does not want to work, but when the screen is on and I double tap to lock, it does. After frustration trying to unlock the screen I have to press the power button, the screen goes on and almost immediately locks again, I now have to press the power button and then one of the volume buttons to be able to swipe to unlock. Secondly When I make a call the screen goes blank as normal, but I can't unlock to end a call and only option is to hold in the power button to switch it off. Anyone got advice before I give my SP a call?

Sorry to hear about that. Maybe you can try factory resetting your phone, or flash your firmware again as a clean start. Otherwise if it is hardware then definitely take it back to them.

I see LG Mobile SA has been tweeting teasers again. Should be an update coming soon.

I'm loving Kitkat with the CloudyPro II ROM. :)

How do I do that?

Well start by downloading your stock jellybean firmware: csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=yourimeinumberhere where instead of the bold writing you insert your phone's imei number. It will take you to a page with code written on it, all you do is find the url in there (around the middle) then copy and paste in your browser. Download will start automatically. I suggest using a download manager as the browser one's sometimes time out after a while on larger files.

Then follow this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
It proves a really nice guide.
If you are on windows 8 or 8.1 then you will need this extra step to go with what is laid out in the guide above: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51406932&postcount=3515

Hope this helps:)
