Try jadopado.com they have the 32GB version for the same price as orange. Have bought from them before they are legit.
 
Can anyone confirm that Orange lock their devices to a specific network?? Doesnt sound right to me! :confused:

Yes I would be willing to negotiate somewhat.

The perks of this is that it is unlocked and can work with any service provider, Cell C, MTN, Vodacom etc etc whereas the Orange one will be locked to that provider, which is why they offer at that price....

i bought a G2 from orange store and have had it on cellc mtn and telkom mobile no problems

Yeah agree with phoenix, dont think you will have a phone locked to any network. That stuff usually happens overseas where they have carrier branded devices.
 
I thought so... Amazing how people lie to try get more money out of you. The other story I was told was that he was selling the more rare lte version... Lol

Raithlin, can you tell me how did you go about flashing the cloudypro rom? I read the guide and everything looks straightforward except for changing the baseband, I'm not exactly sure how to approach that.
 
I finally made the call and got my G2 on Wednesday ..... couple of minor things but quite impressed with it so far. :)

Still had all the plastic covers on, brand new I tell you!

Yeah, the G2 is really underrated simply because LG make it. Samsung own the market when it comes to android because they flood the market with a new phone like every fortnight. At least we know better :) you made an excellent choice :p
 
Did my own upgrade to the latest official kit kat build, phone feels more responsive. Couldnt wait for LG SA, plus I believe we should be getting the same one here anyway. Only thing that sucks is that there is no ART option like on my g pad, not sure why.
 
Right so busy faffing around and I see this phone is lte... Though I haven't seen it connect once to lte on cell c

Maybe they just really bad with their roll out of lte? I was in the city cbd and still no lte
