The second half we reverted back to Moye's standard of play/passing/static movement...

The Counter attacking is what United should be doing - that pace! Fellaini in Carrick's role is looking extremely promising - he was attacking and defending! What also impressed me was Moyes actually told Rafael and Buttner to defend!!!! Buttner did 100x Evra's defending job tonight!

Now for Tuesday lets hope we have the following lineup:

Rooney
Janujaz/Kagawa/Welbeck Carrick Mata Fellaini/Fletcher Valencia
Buttner/Evra Jones Rio Rafael
 
My team for Tue would be: Rooney, Kagawa, Welbeck, Mata, Carrick, Fellaini, Rafeal, Evra, Rio, Jones, DDG

Problem with that is there will be no wingers... and if Rafael pushes up Silva/Jesus will exploit the right side also the left side will be exposed with Evra running around... perhaps we should have Young and Valencia on the left and right respectively... this way they can contain Silva/Jesus/Milner

However if I was feeling really experimental I might go 4-3-2-1 and play
De Gea, Rafael, Rio, Jones, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Buttner as a LM, Rooney (RAM), Mata (LAM) and Welbeck upfront. That is if Valencia can play. Feel like that makes our wings less vulnerable and gives us a lot of pace and creativity going forward. Buttner would be a gamble but I don't see Januzaj making as much of a defensive contribution and Buttner is the only player who might be able to keep up with Navas.
 
The Mata / Kagawa / Rooney combination was rather decent. Way better than anything you have had with RvP trotting around. Perhaps his injury shows Moyes the way forward.

Awesome goal from Rooney, especially with Beckham in the stands yesterday.

Young and Valencia, god no, i cant think of anything worse. That was the two against Olympiacos away and it was a horrible choice.

Yet it was Valencia that played against Olympikos at Old Trafford ;) Young I can understand he is useless! But which of the lesser two do we go with? Young or Welbeck on the left wing - where Robben will be attacking from...

I can assure you if we play Young+Evra we gonna get killed on the left, same applies to Welbeck+Evra as they both won't defend :(

Wait lets stay on focus against City left side will be face with Zabaleta and Silva/Milner/Navas and co...
