We have yet to receive a PM - apologies - you mind re sending please
I checked, the PM is definitely in my send items. Have sent another message.
Received - and responded - thanks again
I have been contacted by the billing department and they have cancelled the ADSL effective immediately and also committed to refund me for June and July.
Thanks for the help
I've canceled with my current ISP (line and data portion) and signed up with WA to take over both. My current ISP has not given me an effective date at which my line will move back to the holding pool, but it should be before the end of the month. Is there any way I can ensure WA picks this up so I don't sit with any downtime?[/QUOTE
The moment the line is put into the holding pool - you receive a SMS in confirmation of this. Please call us on 0860009500 - the moment you receive that SMS - so we are able to process a migration of your DSL line, seeing as your line is already DSL enabled , all we would need to do is - migrate the already enabled DSL line to our systems - this takes less than 2 working days max.
PS: once you receive the SMS in confirmation of the DSL line in the holding pool - you have exactly 5 days to ensure we are aware and process the migration before Telkom systems sees the line as pending cancellation
The data package is super simple - once the line is active with us and has reflective sync (signal from the exchange to your router)* we can activate a data package immediately and it would be as simple and saving your new data service username and password
So .... pretty please let us know when you receive that SMS - we on standby for you ;-)
Hi WebAfrica Helper,
Would just like to find out.
Does WebAfrica's data packages on Fiber have the same after hours data like with your adsl data packages?
Also, can you elaborate on your FUP on the uncapped packages?
Thank you
I'm having a 100mbps Openserve fibre line installed in a few weeks. I'm interested in a WA capped fibre package, but have concerns from my WA ADSL experiences in the past, where even on capped Usenet downloads and torrents were heavily shaped. Is this still the case, or can I expect line speed at all times?
Please DM us your details will gladly get the team to call you to further discuss any and all inquiries. Torrents are illegal though. To answer your question - all capped fibre data packages are not subject to shaping
That's like saying the WWW is illegal because it could potentially be used for piracy. But thanks for the reply and the info.
Anyone else wake up this morning with no internet connection?
