One kid, one computer

Many more kids watching Porn.. thats for sure. lol Dont think Telkom would have capacity for all that downloading.

i just had a test and i googled freeporn and i got to see porn,I am justthinking how a child can use google to do the same simple search..

Imagine the benifits if everyone had proper schools, books and teachers?

we should first start with the basics, and then go from there....

i also here here you, but just think, now they can facebook from school

lol, how long before the pawn shops become flooded with those computers?

So what is SA doing about it? Apart from Communications Department-led initiatives, such as its policy that schools should get 50% off Internet access,
Have any schools actually got that yet?
Back of a matchbox calculations suggest procuring a basic PC or notebook for every school-going child - there were 10,6m of them in 2005, says the University of Cape Town's Children's Institute - would cost SA more than the entire arms deal.
TBH war isnt imminent - a new generation of ignorance is.

Facebook? you know how many manhours are wasted to facebook than the job they are supposed to do? imagine if kids had facebook at school? this wouldn't work - with facebook children would simply never study.

a sollution to this would be, not a computer for EVERY CHILD, but a few for each SCHOOL, and mandatory computer studies for every child.

and then they should block all porn sites and facebook etc, like businesses do.

if they did that, kids would start learning about proxy servers much sooner! :D:D

Imagine how software piracy will increase... u think the under priv kids will buy games and such? HELL NO!

What will kids do on the internet? I don't see them downloading classic literature from Project Gutenberg and reading it or reading through the Merriam-Webster Thesaurus online? It would end up as kids downloading warez, moviez, porn, putting up nonsensical
MySpace/Facebook profiles for pedos and online chat 24/7. Imagine how much homework they could do! Sure the internet is great for education but what sites would kids use, Wikipedia? Maybe free subscriptions to Encarta/Britannica and Dept of Education provided websites packed with school syllabus content would work.
Kids need guidance, you can't just give them a PC and have them look up Roman Empire, they'll end up finding toga porn orgies instead.
