Oneplus 3T

R6319 for the case/glass protector bundle, including DHL. Just waiting for the customs fees. Funny thing is that after payment was verified and the order shows as being shipped, the tracking number was for an item which was delivered in Italy on the 16th of Feb! Huh?

Mine did the same, but to Germany. Soon after the tracking number was updated to the correct one :-)

I don't know how it happened so fast, but just got a call from DHL SARS Customs, saying my package is in SA.

Hi there! I also just bought 2 X one plus 3t's from oppomart.com. did you recive any customs issues as it seems they are waiting for some more information at TNT that I don't think I could provide?

None via DHL. Once customs and duties has been calculated and paid, goods were released.

Question: Anyone been able to source decent tempered glass screen protectors locally?

Anyone using their 3T naked?

Got my OP3T naked, but with the default plastic screen protector still installed. The silicone case that came with the phone is shyte, so didn't bother using it.

I've read many complaints about glass screen protectors for the OP3. Either they don't cover the whole screen because of the slight curve of the 2.5D screen around the edges, or they lift at the edges.

There been one or two drop tests done on the 3T and it's stood up really well. Got mine pouched and that's it until I can find a decent screen protector but as you say, very hard to find!

I've just flashed the official Resurrection Remix ROM for the 3T (based of Android N 7.1.1), and I must say the amount of customisation options are absolutely insane. You now have the option to turn of noise reduction in the camera settings as well which massively improves image quality. Really enjoying it.

Mmmmm, tempting! Loving stock mind you...

One area the 3T is really disappointing is call quality, well, the earpiece in any event, sounds horrible...

Some feedback on this from my side:

Since installing a custom ROM I find the in-ear call quality much better than stock OxygenOS. There is now a lot more 'bass' and hits a higher volume without any distortion. So I'm thinking the earpiece volume / quality on stock is merely a software issue and will potentially be fixed in future software updates.

The OP3T has a great DAC - which is not often mentioned in reviews.

Definitely a software issue. Apparently they've over done the noise cancellation on voice calls. Whatsapp calls are a WHOLE lot clearer! I hope they sort this out in the near future.

This phone just continues to impress!! Mighty package made even sweeter by the modest price tag!!

Hi guys,

I've also been thinking about buying the OnePlus 3T 64GB from ConnectedDevices for R8599.00 but then compared the pricing with Oppomart.com as suggested by phant1m. After much deliberation and research to ensure that I will be able to use LTE on the Vodacom network, I finally decided to buy it from Oppomart.com.

I bought the OnePlus 3T, the USB type-C port adaptor, a silicon case as well as the Dash Car Charger for under R8000. It was R7918.44 to be exact which included shipping of ($49.99) which was about R680.00.

From the research I've done I'm convinced that Oppomart sells the international model which will work (I'm 99.9% sure of it) on the Vodacom LTE network. Another concern of mine was whether the charger would be the South African standard but after reading some comments and answers on Oppomart, they ship the correct charger type depending on where you order from.

I placed the order this morning and will provide you with feedback once I've received the device.

Have you received your phone yet? How did it go?

Just received my phone. Excellent, really.

The best one I've come across in a while (and yes, I'm being biased). And that fingerprint scanner... it's jaw droppingly quick :)

What was the total cost?

I received my 3T this morning (go DHL!) and noticed that the supposed "glass film" was already fitted, and the box included a plastic screen protector. Now I just need my old micro sim converted to a nano.

Coming from the curved ends of my trusty Nexus 5, this phone feels very 'blocky' :)
