You should know that Gorilla Glass 5 is incredibly durable - more so than most screen protectors. I recall a Youtube video where the dude ordered a whole stack of leading tempered glass and sapphire covers, and they were basically all junk that didn't come close to withstanding the expected hardness on the Mohs scale.

Also worth considering is that Gorilla Glass is designed to feel great under the hand. It's a smooth and oleophobic surface, and attracts much less dust. I noticed an enormous difference when I peeled the protective cover my OnePlus 5 shipped with, and I'm going to pull the cover off my OP6 soon as the edges are starting to lift very slightly.

And of course, if you drop your device the protective cover is not what determines if the screen shatters. That will come down to how much force was sent through the phone from the point of impact.
 
I just got a Karbon bumper for my 5t as it was half price special here. The best case I have ever owned on any phone. Feels excellent In the hand, Kevlar looks great, extremely minimal bulk... Highly recommend!
 
Anyone else having problems with the Spotify app on their Oneplus 6? Music just stops playing, or the notification disappears from the status bar etc.

I use Spotify every day and haven't experienced issues.
 
Does anyone know which version of the oneplus 6 I need to buy to ensure it works on SA networks?

And any recommendations on where to buy from for people who have imported one?

A6003 or A6000 sourced from anywhere other than China.

Surely digital zoom will be blurry? If you record in 4k you will get better results when you zoom in.

Shouldn't be as blurry as it is no. 4k, 30fps, 720p no issues. Only on 1080p 60fps. Sure it's a software bug but need others to confirm/test. @Bryn

Wtf. I don't get notifications through the MyBB website when I'm mentioned. Checked my settings and it's definitely functionality that's enabled. Only Tapatalk let me know.

I watched both vids on my phone. The first one is blurry as hell when zoomed in and the other is crystal clear.

That sucks re notifications.

Can you replicate this behavior on yours? Easy to test and you'll know immediately. Just zoom into some text whule recording...

Will try test later. Busy entertaining my niece and nephew with Xbox and sweets.

Clearing all Tapatalk app data fixed the inability to quote anyone, and has changed things to a dark theme. Nice.

Ooooh nice. I was having issues with that too. Didn't think to clear cache.

Yeah. Easy to spot cause when you zoom you can see the difference even on the screen in live time ie it doesn't only manifest in the recorded footage.
