hehe - yeah. It's amazing how whites see a "slur" as reflecting badly on the slurrer, whereas other races see it as a reflection on themselves.

For example, if someone of another race calls me a "whinger", I laugh at them, because it is their insecurity or ineptness that has prompted my complaint, and the best they can do is call me a whinger - in a vain attempt to regain some credibility.

OTOH, make even a passing insinuation that a member of another race is inferior, and they immediately go on the defensive. A case of "too close to the truth" perhaps?
 
This is how I see things play out in 6 simple steps:

1) 2010 is last hope for country to "ruk itself reg"
2) 2010 will either fail or succeed
3) Regardless, country will fall into disarray shortly thereafter
4) Obsessed with retention of power, the leading ANC government will authorise land grabs (black-on-white) in a bid to try to please the masses again
5) Zim 2.0
6) We slay our cats and dogs for food.

Yeah, I suppose complacency is really the way to go. Just think where the ANC and black people in S.A. would have been today had they resigned themselves to complacency prior to 1994...

A very popular girl at varsity, who was one of the campus DJs once said we must leave AA and so forth and RSA will be a utopia in a few years. She sounded like a hippie from the 1970s, I also answered her and said if white people don't start showing resistance or start fighting for their rights like the ANC did things will never ever change.
How long will it be before there is an organised terrorists movement, with smart people in it, unlike the Boeremag? I have no idea what blowing up the damn would have accomplished. They should have taken notes from the ANC instead. I think support for such an organisation which will resort to violence is much higher these days than it should be.

Follow in the footsteps of the ANC. As I said in the previous post also.

You know, become a terrorist organisation, kill innocent people, take control of the country and make things worse. I suppose the FF+ won't be able to do that and to follow exactly in the footsteps of the ANC, but liberating the country from an oppressive government is a start.

The FF+ can do more and they should.

Once all the whites have left this country, we also spite ourselves, because RSA will become something not worth fighting for, like Zimbabwe. I plan to leave though, I would rather see RSA fail than live here under the ANC.

Suggesting that whites have justification for an armed struggle against the ANC government is just a tad disproportionate.

I think I understand what you are saying, but it sounds a lot as if you are saying that you would rather see this country fail than live under a black government regardless of whether or not they are doing their jobs properly. It would help the cause of open dialogue if people put a little more thought into expressing themselves clearly. You should know that people will interpret what you say to reflect what they believe you are thinking. Why make it easier for them?

It should not be about "white" and "black" - it should be about "right" and "wrong".

I just cannot understand why blacks vote for the ANC in droves - why not the IFP for example? Surely you do not vote for a useless government? Surely.

Fear of and loyalty to their own party, coupled with loathing of the opposition.

Voters in this country do not vote with common sense, but rather from experience. And to be fair, their experience under White rule wasn't exactly rosy.

Most blacks in SA won't vote for Zulus.
Neither will they vote for whatever party delivers services more or less than the other.

Blacks vote for a party they associate best with - with which they identify with - this is and will always be the ANC.

The same set of reasons white people voted NP and for it's Apartheid policies never mind the damage it did to the country.
