We are not denying shaping at all, and never have.

Shaping will be applied to shaped accounts during peak periods.

Right now for example some parts of the country is still busy, therefore shaping will be applied. We do however notice the massive load in the South has seemed to clear, so things are looking better here currently.

The South is NOT better - I repeat - IT is NOT better ! Assuming Eastern Cape falls under that !

I sent you a PM with the results of the test account.

The problem with your shaping is that you flat out lie to me when i ask about the problem. Every single engineer has always given me a new account and the problem resolves itself. I have a gold account so with all these new accounts where does this now fall? i should have a much higher priority and at 20:00 it's dog slow on usenet and torrents dead...........

Hey dude - the ouke has a point, we pay to get a service, the ISP blames Telkom and Telkom blames the ISP, but the loser is the customer - what gives... ??

In the end - one expects to GET what you PAY for - no matter who is responsible to provide the service. It's like going to the shop to buy a bread, only to get home and there is nothing in the middle when you slice it open. The shop will say, well it's a bread, but the baker did not add enough dough ! You still end up with a dud !

Give the guy a break - I get where he's coming from.

Cheers

At last someone with a brain and not someone looking to troll. Openweb is at its finest again tonight gg to you guys. Shaping is so awesome in the evenings thanks a lot for nothing Openweb....

If youre refering to the Western cape area its sure as hell aint better. In fact its even worse then last night.

Mine was shaped quite heavily last night, but then again half of 20Mbit is still 10Mbit :D

Looks slightly quicker tonight.

Last night was actually fine, but tonight is horrid; started a 400MB download at 18h21 tonight and as at 22h35 (4 hours later) I've only downloaded 330MB. HTTP protocol running fine, Youtube buffers (on 360p) and NNTP crawling.

Confirmed via tracerts and a Telkom tech that both my line and exchange is running smoothly (Telkom tech tested yesterday).

Your latency is very intermittent.

The jumps usually indicate a fault on the hardware side.

I have PM'd you another routing troubleshooting account. Please try it out and let us know if it makes a difference
