Hi ponder,

They are completely different accounts.

Basically, the Standard has a higher contention ratio than Gamers King, thus the favourable price.

Don't get me wrong though, these account do work really well!

4MB Gold IS. In the past few days I'm seeing heavy daytime shaping on RTMP Port 1935, which is crap really. This is for http-based live internet streams. This never used to be shaped, or at least not to this crippling degree. Everything i used to enjoy during the day is now a slideshow.

Well, it is this daytime shaping/throttling that is continuously getting me down on the 4MB Gold and has resulted in several login changes over time. For pretty much the same as what I am currently paying there are business/unshaped options available in the market and I think its time I made the move. If the daytime performance was a half or a third as good as the after hours performance I wouldn't even bother. But stuff gets crippled to 1/20th of after hours performance during the day. And I'm rather fed up with it. My overall bandwidth usage is not very high. I just want things to work when I need them to work.
 
2Meg gold, odd. Wonder if I'm being given lower priority because I'm downloading more than usual? Haven't noticed a significant daytime performance knock until yesterday.

been a good month except for the last two days. noticable diffirence. very erratic speeds.
 
Well it is a @openweb.co.za username, and routes via IS, but for some reason not working on users.isdsl.net :(

Balls, I really wanted to see how much I have done, and since the power went out for a minute yesterday, my mikrotik values reset.
 
We do not log usage stats on many of our uncapped accounts as we feel this goes against the essence of what uncapped stands for.

Latency quite bad in WoW (EU) today. Ranging from 450ms - 1400ms

Not good for a 'Gamer King' account :cry:

Update: Ok, latency is now down to 236ms, which incidentally is the average daytime latency I get in the day. After hours I get around 200ms

MrBEEP, why is this? Isn't gaming traffic (latency?) supposed to be priorotized on a 'platinum' level 24/7 with this account? Is it normal for daytime ping to be higher than after hours pings? It's not unplayable during the day, but on the Gamer King account I expected the performance to be at least the same as after hours performance, gaming / latency wise

Free means it won't cost you anything. Adding "and doesn't cost you anything" is just redundant.
