Thanks, but I've moved on. Other OpenWebbers can enjoy my unused bandwidth for the rest of the month. The 4MB Gold account is great after hours and weekends, but it just doesn't suit my daytime use. I needed something more reliable during business hours.
 
Gamers king account useless during the day. Cannot play anything due to bad latency. Surfing is non existent. After 5 surfing normalizes and after 7 gaming is playable. Two routers checked, Telkom checked and nothing at fault there. No congestion in area as well.
 
You are not connected to the correct account it seems. Any account other than the one we assigned you will not work correctly at this stage, as you are in troubleshooting mode.

Same here, Youtube is having trouble buffering, while normal http downloads are full speed.
 
Were there any problems last night in the Durban area. My Torrent downloads were extremely erratic. Going from full speed right down to nothing.

We have been having extremely bad latency and download speeds with the 2mbps Gamer's King account in Stellenbosch for at least a week. Before that speeds during the day were also useless even for browsing or youtube.

Do you know of an exchange problem in the Stellenbosch area as according to my complaint to [email protected] the account is supposed to be fine? Also, if the account is fine why would the speeds be so abysmal during the day?

Couldve been a Telkom fault.

I logged a fault with Telkom yesterday morning as the previous night had quite a few problems. My download graph looks like a rollercoaster.
 
Try using YouTube with SSL (https) - Makes a massive difference for me, irrespective of ISP

On the topic of YouTube .... If you use Chrome, Safari or Opera you MUST check out this addon called Youtube Options : https://spoi.com/software/yto/
I can't use YouTube without it these days. Removed all the junk you don't care about.
It can force HTTPS as well.
 
Had Gold uncapped Leon edition 2mb account for about a week. Literally have not had a single problem in any sense.
