MrBEEP:

Just thought you might want to know that speedtest.net suddenly thinks I'm in the Western Cape, when I'm actually in Durban.

A side-effect of your changes / upgrades?

Just FWIW

I think that's where you are authenticated ( speaking under correction )

This is a Telkom problem i'm afraid. They decided to place you in Cape Town for the day.

Go and take in the sights and sounds :)

We are calculating the possibility of an unshaped weekend. More feedback will follow shortly.

Hey

Today I called 10210 to upgrade my line to 2mbit and bam my line got upgraded to... 1.1mbit :( I tried restarting my router but it still is syncing at 1.1mbit instead of 2mbit.

Here's my router stats:

DSP Firmware Version E.25.41.55 A
Connected true
Operational Mode G.Dmt
Annex Type AnnexA
Upstream 512000
Downstream 1152000
SNR Margin(Upstream) 13 dB
SNR Margin(Downstream) 12.0 dB
Line Attenuation(Upstream) 25.0 dB
Line Attenuation(Downstream) 47.5 dB
CRC Errors(Upstream) 2
CRC Errors(Downstream) 0
Latency(Upstream) Fast
Latency(Downstream) Fast

When I try to log in to my openweb account (Same ADSL username/password), I get this message "Alert: User/Password error - Please Try Again".

You would need to take this up with Telkom as they are in charge of line sync

There are no general issues currently.

All is running below capacity, meaning that the weekend will be filled with unshaped bliss.

Kindly email [email protected] so that we can investigate.
