OW account still dead for me. Anyone else? Also, how do I contact someone to find out what the issue is? This is the first time in 3 yrs since I've been with OW that I've had an issue
 
A lot of our customers are still down. Doing a port reset brought 80% of them up. Thank Telkom for a disastrous start to the weekend
 
Hi Friends,

I see some Telkom ports need a reset before the internet is restored.

If you can, drop us a mail: [email protected] and we will try and assist with this.

I am not sure how Telkom managed to break an entire ADSL network on a Friday afternoon, maar nou ja.
 
VB Backbone

Hi Guys,

Seems I might lose my beloved VB backbone (uncapped Gold) account. I've been on the VB backbone for more than 2 years, and I know from experience it's the only backbone that works well from my location.

My question is, are there any other ISPs that offer VB backbone uncapped accounts?

I might keep my OW account and just relegate it to a backup Vanilla account. I've sort of come to see OW as an extension of my family :)

Any help will be appreciated.

MrBeep, our power went out earlier today at around 12PM and since then my account refuses to authenticate. It seems the connection dropped on the router, but the ISP still thinks it is connected. The router just says the following in the logs;

Remote message: ^M^JYou are already logged in 2 times - access denied^M^J^J

Hi, yes MrBeep, this morning it just says the following:

2010-10-01 15:53:50 auth info PPP PAP Authenticate Request sent
2010-10-01 15:53:51 auth info PPP PAP Authenticate Nack received
2010-10-01 15:53:51 kern info PPP Remote message: Authentication failed
2010-10-01 15:53:51 kern err PPP PAP authentication failed
2010-10-01 15:53:51 local0 warn PPP Link Down
2010-10-01 15:53:51 kern notice PPP Connection terminated.

Our telkom account authenticates almost instantly, though.
 
Leon got me sorted and it's working again now. Thanks! Wasn't really expecting a resolution until the week again.

Excellent service, as always. :D

I think there is something wrong with your ticket support system. I am unable to view my ticket?
