i wish i could play, but i've run out of things to download. 2 tv episodes today and that's it! there'll be some extra bandwidth for the rest of you this weekend then....

or maybe i should download linux distros :)

That's not very sportsmanlike.
 
Just tried a trial vanilla 1mbps account, no idea what was going on but :
Extremely slow connection (webpages failed to load) 11pm -> sometime before i wake up and 11am -> 3pm
Even with different accounts, still slow ?
But now after the trial everything is perfect again sooo.. will not be switching :/
 
The last time things were unshaped my browsing actually went to hell. Must be coz of all the people downloading crappy movies that aren't even worth watching...
 
We will never run an unshaped event unless the network has capacity available.

Unshaped Weekend has in the history of its existence never maxed the capacity available.

Hi MrBeep, am I allowed to take my router with my account settings to a friends place to use and test on his phone line? He is having endless problems with his line/router/isp, I cannot remember if there was something that stated otherwise in the TOS, it would still only be one connection. I

Loving my new Gold 10Mbps account. I can finally use my Plex media server remotely without the video looking like a minecraft session.

Kudos to Leon for sorting me out so quickly.

So you can dial into and use your account from elsewhere, as long as that's the only session?

I always thought OW was linked to your Telkom Number- as you have to provide that when signing up.

Just phoned openweb, they know if the problem. Looks like a big problem. One of my friends also just phoned me. In the router logs it says that the authentication failed.

Also using cellphone to post.

Getting the same authentication error.

Wonder whats happened....
