I would love to know the difference between the various variants of for example the gold account.

Currently you have Gamers King, Leon, Gold, Gold Orange.

Would I be correct in assuming the only difference is the contention ratios and brackets they place you in once you hit a certain dl mark?

There is no download mark bracket. Just contention ratios.

Gamer's King isn't Gold.

MrBeep, any future plans to offer 20Mbps and 40Mbps?

I could only imagine how godly a 40Mbps gold/platinum account would be.
(Would probably cost me an arm and a leg, but I have two)

MrBeep, I'm still having endless issues trying to play WvW in Guild Wars 2 on my 1Mbps gamers king account. 1Mbps is probably a little paltry, but as far as I can tell it doesn't use even half that, but as soon as there's a lot going on I get a minute or more of latency and often time out (at one point I was on TS with my fellow players and I was literally describing to them things that had happened 1-3 minutes earlier. Once the action died down my connection finally caught up and I was able to rejoin them).

When I first got this account it worked great, I could even play during peak times, whereas on my old standard uncapped account it would only really work decently at night/weekends. Now nothing I do seems to help. My case number is #RQY-429-62320 and I'd really really appreciate anything you can do to help, or I might as well go back to vanilla uncapped and take a break from online gaming.

Thanks

Gold is on special now as mentioned above.

Howzit Guys,

My first experience with ADSL and uncapped... I just bought the standard uncapped 4mb package and speedtest.net shows this:

ping: 22ms
download: 0.47mbps
upload: 0.41mbps

MyBB speedtest shows this:

SA
Download Speed: 3360 kbps (420 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 423 kbps (52.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 42 ms

International
Test conducted on 29/7/2013 15:53:16

Download Speed: 2504 kbps (313 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 406 kbps (50.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 203 ms

I know there is shaping during peak hours, so basically I just want to find out if this is normal?

Thanks!

There are huge discrepancies in the speedtest results above, thus we do not promote the use of speedtest to guage the quality of a connection.

Kindly use real life examples, such as a download, or browsing, or Youtube.

My international pings went back to normal today Mr Beep... seems it was a local exchange issue.

Thanks for the advice. I was "direct" downloading something and the speeds were between 90 and 130KB/s. Is that normal for peak time downloads on a uncapped standard 4mb connection?

Also, is anyone else experiencing no connectivity? Both my Openweb and my trial Axxess internet is down

Sounds like you are having issues with Telkom or your router.

Kindly email us on [email protected] so that we can take a look
