This sounds like a classic congested exchange issue, especially on a Friday night around these times, when most folks are online enjoying their ADSL lines.

Can you please post a tracert or two

I was given 2 new accounts yesterday. The first account barely opened any sites and the second account worked fine but this morning it's really slow. I went back to the first account I was given yesterday, the one that barely opened any sites, and it's flying at full speed. Can I keep the first account I was given yesterday?

I agree with MrBEEP. I had the same problem a while ago due to a congested exchange. It always started at around 6pm. Luckily they decided to upgrade the echange here and the problems are gone now.

Hope they do the same for you...but we all know Telkom.

Been having such issues with OpenWeb for nearly a month now.
Since Thursday things have been silky smooth again. I can finally cancel my Afrihost backup account. Thanks guys.

My ingame latency is 2000ms starting at 1:00....maybe it is the game servers themselfs ?

Are you experiencing high latency on any other protocols / services?

First there will be no connection available - then all the restart and changing of setting.

Next my request to stop my account as I will be looking for another service provider.

Then, we are so sorry about this - here have a new user name and account password and let us know what happen.

Then next month it is the same all over again.

No after hours support! So I have to use highly priced bandwidth to get trough the week end.

Can anyone suggest a true 2mb uncapped account alternative for mainly receiving emails and browsing and maybe once or so a month a download of a 500mb file.

Now fed up with this service!

IS news server running full speed, but maximum on Astraweb is a very steady half-speed.

Getting full speed here on 4mbs standard , 10 tweaknews connections and 10 IS connections.
