Morning Friends,
I believe today I will be blessed with a whole range of positive feedback![]()
I wonder why?![]()
No difference between gaming during off peak or office hours. Both good.![]()
Local and international speed tests are back up to full speed, with both upload and download and with low pings.
Torrents still at max 25% during office hours.![]()
True, though I was getting 75% when I first signed up. Still, I realise that it is pretty good bang for buck.
There were times when still on my Vanilla account that I got up to full speed. Not sure what has changed lately. Maybe the shaping policies have just been tightened even further?
Might do. Will have to test HTTP and FTP download speeds first though. Speedtest.net is HTTP download, no?Why don't you just pay a few bucks for a torrent-to-http service?

If these speeds continue though, then Torrent to HTTP services will just be a waste of time and money.HTTP is not shaped, so you can be sure that your speeds will be the best that you can hope for.
Er, something just happened. Torrents are flying at present. :wtf:
Hi Kalster,
Shaping is dynamic based on how busy the network is at any given time.
You can go from full speed, to 25% within minutes during peak time. It is the nature of a shaped account.
When the network is quiet though, shaping is relaxed, many times to the point of being completely unshaped.

Are the use of these services not against the fair usage policies of the ISPs though?
So basically it means everybody was actually working at that time and not using the company internet to download movies![]()
Thanks Keoma. I know I keep bringing this up. I am not complaining though. Just offering running commentary. I regularly plug Openweb in fact.Hi Kalster,
