International is running faster then local currently, all local sites taking up to 2 minutes to open where international are instant, any issues in Cape Town, Southern suburbs atm?

Oddly enough, same my side. (East London) :wtf:

Telkom finally sorted my line on Saturday 27th Apr.I have a 2Mbps line with an openweb 2Mbps gold uncapped (Easter promo -R299)/month
SPeedtest.net shows d/l 1.53 Mbps and Upload 0.44 Mbps with ping of 22ms
Downloaded about 20 gigs in 2 days (only torrents)
Extremely happy with Openweb (axxess managed line),but the true test will come when I get gaming online.

Well done Openweb!

MrBeep I can finally say that since Seacom has come back, my 4Mbps gold uncapped unshaped is acting like it should.
I finally feel Unshaped.

Keep up the good work.

I've been having such issues with my account for the past few days. On Friday I did a port reset and things went back to normal. However today many websites won't load... I can't get the speedtest page to load (Or BTN, XDA, Goal.com, Google.co.za?) from my phone or my pc. However I ran speedtest from my phone and got decent speeds (assume local server) and this site loads pretty much instantaneously.

Does anyone have an idea of what can be going on?

sounds like router, what router have you got?

We suggest Netgear routers for anyone buying a replacement. They actually perform better on congested exchanges as well!

I've had this router for at least 3 years, and this issue has only come up now. For some reason, I don't think it's that.

Will test it on another line (Got a buy 1 get 1 free account) which has a Netgear and take things from there.

Bummer. Tried another account and it's working famously :( Must be an issue with my Openweb account.

If you aren't using news servers, you deserve to get slow torrents. Keep the content local, and keep the ISPs happy.

Seriously? Who uses torrents these days?

Honestly, I just haven't had time to set up an automated News-based downloading system that'll work as well as my torrent based one currently does.
That said, I find older content is very difficult to get off the News network, whereas it makes no difference with torrents.
Maybe I'm just using the wrong providers?
