Also having speed issues this evening. streaming live TV buffers a lot more than usual.

I'm also having a bit of hassle with WoW, my ping is hovering around 500-900. Then again, I swapped to my backed WebAfrica capped account and it had issues as well.

Hey guys,

Thought I'd just check, sorry if it's a stupid question (I'm just getting into automating NZB's etc). Is using a service like Tweaknews SSL against the usage policy?

No they dont monitor usage , tweaknews ssl is crap anyway is uses normal SSL ports so most isp's shape it.

In game latency (WOW) are all over the place 190ms - 600ms, line speeds and pings are all good, anyone else having problems ?

There is nothing wrong with tweaknews, I have been using them for about 4 months now and have no issues. Both SSL ports work hundreds with my standard uncapped.

Yep i use them also , they are awesome!

Through if you want to bypass shaping , they not so awesome , because they don't support port 80 ssl.

newsdemon does port 80 ssl, the DMCA takedowns is super fast on newsdemon.

It really doesn't make a difference what port it uses. Other techniques are used to enforce shaping on nntp and file sharing sites. I was also with Newsdemon before I moved to Tweaknews and actually tested this, it made no difference when switching ports when the isp account was shaped.

some isp's forget to shape them , with openweb it is the same , mweb its not , but mweb will ban you :P

Going like a rocket here. Streaming 1080p video while downloading GW2 update with brother in the other room playing BL2 on the internet.

Pretty awesome :)

Anyone having slow international downloads.
